OSBORNE Inc. (the “Company”) hereby establishes the following privacy policy (this “Policy”) and handles personal information in accordance with this Policy. The meanings of terms used in this Policy are governed by the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (the “PIPA”).
The Company collects the following personal information from customers: name, address, telephone number, date of birth, place of employment, email address, a copy of an identity verification document (such as a driver’s license or passport), and product purchase history.
The Company uses the collected personal information as necessary to achieve the following purposes:
(1) To provide the Company’s products and services;
(2) To provide announcements and information from the Company concerning products and services;
(3) To respond to inquiries to the Company concerning products and services;
(4) To conduct advertising, promotion, and marketing activities;
(5) To implement necessary measures against unauthorized acts for the secure operation of the Company’s website and the like; and
(6) To use for purposes incidental to those listed above.
The Company does not provide any collected personal information to third parties without the prior consent of the customer concerned, except as described in this Policy or as required by laws and regulations.
The Company jointly uses the personal information listed in Article 1 collected from customers.
For example, a client have purchased “Karuizawa Whisky Owners Cask” from the Company, with Karuizawa Whisky Co., Ltd. (Address: 2785-318 Hotchi, Karuizawa-machi, Kitasaku-gun, Nagano Prefecture; “Karuizawa Whisky”), for the following purposes: To provide announcements and information from the Company concerning the products and services of Karuizawa Whisky and respond to inquiries to Karuizawa Whisky.
In order to prevent unauthorized access to, or the leakage, loss, or damage of, personal information, the Company establishes security control policies from organizational, personnel, physical, and technical perspectives, implements the necessary and appropriate measures, and appropriately manages information relating to customers and other relevant parties, including both personal and specific personal information.
If the Company receives a request under the PIPA from a customer regarding the disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, suspension of use, erasure, or suspension of provision to third parties of personal data held by the Company; or a request regarding the disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, suspension of use, or erasure of records of provisions to third parties, the Company will disclose the requested data or records without delay, or take the necessary actions such as correction or suspension of use, after confirming that the request was made by the data subject and that the requirements under the PIPA have been met. However, this does not apply if the Company is not required to assume these obligations under the PIPA or other laws and regulations.To make a request as described above, or to submit any inquiries and complaints regarding the handling of personal information, please contact the Company through the contact information below.
The Company may amend this Policy in order to promote the protection of personal information of customers and other relevant parties and to respond to changes in laws, regulations, or other rules. Established on May 1, 2025.
